This film was inspired by the real life cases of Jaycee Dugard and Elisabeth Fritzl, both of whom were kidnapped and held captive in hidden rooms for more than 18 years. Both women became pregnant by their captors and had children in captivity.
If you want to prepare for the holidays and getting the family to get together this movie (is too much drama and not much comedy). This is a feel good movie before the anxieties around the holiday season with random unrelated thoughts and flashbacks. You have an all star cast from John Goodman, Diane Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Ed Helms, and Olivia Wilde (unfortunately it shouldn’t have been a November to remember).
The Story That Inspired Walt Disney’s Dramatic Motion Picture. A young Travis Coates (Tommy Kirk) who takes on his family ranch and adopts a dog thinks he is ready to handle both he than finds out is not as easy as he thinks. The movie is sad because Yeller dies at the end by having rabies after a series of scrapes involving raccoons, snakes, bears and all manner of animals.
Mount Everest is not for the faint of heart but their are the exceptions and in May 10, 1996 both Rob Hall (Jason Clarke) and Beck Weathers (Josh Brolin) fight the external elements to survive blizzards and engulfing the adventures of fiercest strikes ever by man. They both flaunted their utter indifference to human survival and it was interesting to see that interaction come together.
