Walt Disney’s The Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance) takes Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) from the Orphanage and brings her to the Giant Country hoping to make her see that magic can be seen through an expert craftmanship. This is a bedtime story for young and old alike, and a tale of a long and lasting friendship. Sophie had to learn to be brave and having BFG to be a great protector by standing up when needed especially with the sudden arrival of the Bloodbottler Giant (Bill Hader), who suspects the BFG of harboring Sophie.
The BFG (short for “Big Friendly Giant”) is a 1982 children’s book written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake. It is an expansion of a short story from Dahl’s 1975 book Danny, the Champion of the World.
