This film was inspired by the real life cases of Jaycee Dugard and Elisabeth Fritzl, both of whom were kidnapped and held captive in hidden rooms for more than 18 years. Both women became pregnant by their captors and had children in captivity.

Mother Teresa (Juliet Stevenson) of Calcutta, M.C joined the Sisters of Loreto in 1928 at Rathfarnham, Ireland that is where she became a religious sister and missionary as a Roman Catholic. It was later on that Teresa wanted to help the sick by praying for them to make them feel comfortable and teaching the schoolchildren in India where she lived most of her life so she can fulfill her charitable work. In 1979 when Mother Teresa won a Nobel Prize she wrote all these letters from a 50 year period and than saying to her spiritual leader Father Celeste van Exem (Max Van Sydow and Aapo Pukk) tear those letters because she didn’t wanted to be known as a Messiah like Jesus was (That was at the end of the movie where that was the right thing to do).
As a young kid in detention Adonis Johnson (Michael B Jordan) always had to fight to survive. He knew he is a contender and didn’t know he is a true fighter till he he realized he saw a home video of Apollo Creed who was his father and wanted to follow in his father footsteps. Then as Adonis went to Philadelphia he didn’t want Rocky to know he was Apollo son so he went under the name of Adonis Johnson so he can train under the tutelage of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone). When Adonis saw the picture of Rocky and Apollo in their 3rd fight Rocky was surprised of all these personal questions and eventually Adonis told Rocky he was the son of Apollo Creed.

Mario Sepulveda (Antonio Banderas) kept the group sane and allowed them to never lose hope. Meanwhile, Andre Sougarret (Gabriel Byrne), came up with a plan to rescue the miners.
If you want to prepare for the holidays and getting the family to get together this movie (is too much drama and not much comedy). This is a feel good movie before the anxieties around the holiday season with random unrelated thoughts and flashbacks. You have an all star cast from John Goodman, Diane Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Ed Helms, and Olivia Wilde (unfortunately it shouldn’t have been a November to remember).
