Very good performances all around. Very good direction. A very interesting and also more important understandable story. Unlike another recent movie that I could not understand the financial language at all. A very good thriller despite some of it being predictable. I liked it a lot and found it very entertaining. Lee Gates (George Clooney) down on the studio floor, is MC of the financial advice show Money Monster where he offers his audience tips on stocks on what to buy and sell, and what companies to watch. Patty Fenn (Julia Roberts) is a TV producer who works in the control room full of consoles, monitors, engineers, and assistants. Kyle Budwell (Jack O’Connell) a disgruntled viewer who is wielding a gun and a list of demands, as the camera keeps running.
Director, Andrew Rossi takes a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by exploring and documenting the culture of the Chinese Western Fashion inspired by the Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton. Andrew Bolton gives full access to Andrew Rossi to capture the entire exhibition through a looking glass of the high fashion and celebrity at the Met Gala. The First Monday In May takes a look at one of the biggest global fashion events of the year and traditionally takes place on the first Monday of the year. In 2015 it was considered the museum’s most visited fashion events in its history. Magnolia Pictures will open the 15th Tribeca Film Festival, which is scheduled to run in New York from April 13-24.
“It lets us peek into the industry’s most exclusive party, to see what its revelers look like when their guard is down.” – Véronique Hyland, New York Magazine
It is visually beautiful. (Maybe the most beautiful cinematography I’ve seen.) The voice acting is excellent. The most important part in a movie, to me, is proper casting. Director Jon Favreau had a huge task here in finding just the right boy to be in virtually every scene in this movie. In Neel Sethi he found a great young actor. He was marvelous, as was this movie. He has a great future as an actor. Naturally it was Favreau, who brought this all together. He seems to be able to direct any kind of movie. Here he did a fantastic job. Also fantastic was the score, scenic design, art direction and editing. It is sure to get many Oscar nominations in all categories except costume design. I loved this movie in case you could not tell. It is one of my favorites of the year
